The character in Confection questions the notion of female composure. She is staged as a 1950’s housewife, but rather than acting out a scene of domesticity, she uses baby parts attached to various tools to destroy a cake. Her aggression is revealed as her façade degrades throughout the span of the video. Visual cues such as her nails growing through her rubber cleaning gloves, the spider walking across the table, and the escalation of her destruction allow the character's true self to be revealed. She is an intimidating figure who blurs the lines between monstrosity and femininity.
